A Red Tail Hawk!
We were down by the rivers (where the Willamette and the Clackamas Rivers run together) and saw him right in front of us--not 15 feet away. I was in my car, so I snapped some pictures!

Love the close ups of the marvelous bird. We have one that flies around our farm, but never close enough to get a picture.
My first house had undeveloped land behind it. Every year I looked forward to seeing a hawk return and visiting my yard.
