Rose base color with possibilities . . . |
As I pass thru my bedroom during daily activities, I glance at the combinations lying there (and maybe rearrange a few).
without the lighter shade and adding bright pink & burgundy |
After a few passes, one may jump out at me, hitting my sensitivities for beauty.
Everything! |
Some may not. Those that don't, get put away, back in the stash. This may finally lead to my favorite choice. I have done this many times; but this time, my wall art piece is causing me angst! I just haven't found a "happy combination" yet!
What do you think!
Keep the bright pink, or not? Well, I'll keep trying! And I will share the process as it goes along! P.S. Linking up today with Create-with-Joy's Inspire Me Monday

I think the other colors go but I'm not a fan of the bright pink. Maybe another pink but not so bright?
Oh the first one is my most favorite--no bright pink for me but you might really enjoy it!
Can't wait to see more of your work and thank you so much for dropping by to visit today.
Lovely combination. Maybe a paler pink would do?
I think the bright pink looks great. It's a nice accent color and gives it a fun flair :)
My vote is for the first combo -- soothing colors for a quilt! I do the same thing when trying to figure out what goes with what -- you have to let it sit for a while before it comes together!
looks like you're really busy! I like the colors in the first photo. But then, I'm not a big pink lover. When I'm looking at colors and designs in my art journal, I do the same thing. For me, I'll leave the page open and walk by once or twice to see if I'm finished. Then take a photograph and look at it! {:-D
The bright pink would add a pop of color, but what about adding a bit of the buttery yellow from your focus fabric?
I like the first one. I do love the way you work things out...good plan:)

If the bright pink isn't working, I would let it go. I like the softer pink and green combination. Best of luck with everything this week!
Interesting process for choosing colors!

Love your mash-up method....I'm sure it will gel for you soon♫ My Inspire Me effort: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/03/contessa.html
I like the first and the second option. Either bright without pink or pink without bright.
And I like your planning too! It's so clear and every point on yoir list sounds to be full of happy, creative energy!
I am not crazy about the bright pink with the rest of the fabric.
I do the same thing when I am thinking of color combinations for my art. I lay things out on the table and walk by them while I clean. Inevitably I change something or add some new trim to the mix.
I do understand this methodology.
I like the first combination best. It will be fun to see what you decide!
