Bird houses for Spring!

On our stroll, yesterday and the day before--this is getting to be a habit!-- we spotted bird houses in the trees! They are simple but functional houses. I suppose that the owner of the complex has put them all around to attract birds. I hope some little mama birdie will take up residence there! We'll see!

I got me wondering what might be available for bird lovers on Etsy. Here's a few of my finds:

I love birdhouses and have them up all over the yard! Thank you SO much for featuring our red birdhouse on your blog! :D

We have a bunch of birdhouses too - unfortunately they're more decorative, although I think we had a chickadee family one year. I'd like to take them all down in the fall and put up some real bird boxes like the ones you saw - they have them specially for owls, songbirds, wood ducks, and even bat boxes!!

Love birdhouses, your apartment sounds like it is in a very lovely area.

It will be fun to see if bird families use the boxes. I got to watch a family of robins in my neighbors' holly tree last Spring. I wonder if they'll be back...

sounds like a nice owner... of the complex. Glad hubbie is out and about... that always makes things interesting! Good luck to the two of you!

I'd love to have birdhouses, but sadly, I don't have the trees to house them in! We live in a 2 year old house and when they build in our new subdivision, they clear the trees...well unless you pay for a "wooded lot", then they leave you two or three of them! They replant live oaks, but they are young trees and hardly birdhouse worthy. Maybe I'll have to get some of those "stake in the ground" kind!
