Halloween at My House

I'm not much of a fan of Halloween, but I did decorate some this year. Thought you might like to see my handiwork.

I made a little candle mat for my entry table, and decorated it for the season with a little pumpkin instead of a candle. Candle mats available soon in my shop. Watch for them! I will have some for Christmas decorating.

Next is my Halloween wall hanging. This is my first attempt at pioneer points for edging. I think it turned out pretty good! they are really very easy to do! This is my version of a patchwork pattern I found in Lots of Scraps: It's Time to Quilt by Jeanne Stauffer & Sandra L. Hatch.

This book has several great quilt patterns to try if you are a quilter! I can't wait to try several other patterns in the book!

I won a giveaway!

I diverge from the Abigail story today. I have neglected to give acknowledgement to a blogger friend, Marlene. I entered her blog giveaway back in December and won! With all the Christmas craziness, I forgot to acknowledge her wonderful artistic talent! She has art, jewelry and vintage items in her lovely shop!






I actually won a Christmas candle ACEO and a pair of earrings. I promptly gave the beautiful earrings to one of my granddaughters, and to my surprise the ACEO fit perfectly in my tea light candle lantern! It's inside the glass and I can enjoy it without having to light a candle! I put it right next to a Santa figurine for the Christmas season and it was beautiful! Thanks Marlene.

Christmas Week - Part 3

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Saint Nick would soon be there. It's Christmas Eve and he'll be here soon enough!

The five stockings are in the living room for my daughter's family and the other two are my husband's and mine, in our "studio apartment". The angel tea light bell chime is a tradition that I brought from my aunt. I loved it as a child and still love the tinkling sounds that it makes. We'll light it on Christmas Eve evening, late. I love candle light for Christmas Eve!
