Cannon Beach Trip
Recently, hubby and I spent a few days at the beach on the Oregon coast. We had the most awesome restful time taking loads of pictures and just relaxing. One day we just leaned up against a big log for some recreational reading to the sound of the surf and the seagulls.
We sat on the beach and took in the sights and sounds on a crisp sunshiny day in January--an odd thing for January! I thought you might like to enjoy the trip with us. These are just a few pictures, as we took dozens and dozens of pictures!

Vacation OVER!
I'm back from vacation, and ready to start posting again! Although, I probably will not be consistent with this blog until later next week, at the start of September. I re-started my 'Jumping Off Places' linky party in my other blog. (You can see that post here if you are interested in writing.)
So, while I wind down from vacation and get started posting again on this blog, I thought I would leave you with a few of our vacation pictures.
The rest of the pictures were mostly poised pictures of family--not of much interest to you peeps! But it was a good vacation!!! How was your vacation?
So, while I wind down from vacation and get started posting again on this blog, I thought I would leave you with a few of our vacation pictures.

Seal Antics
Sorry, the pictures are not more crisp and clear. My photo program is not working well. Pooh!
Anyway, enjoy the seal antics!

Weekend Vacay Report
I think I have just returned from the best little weekend vacation that I have had in a lot of years!
Went with my daughter and her family to the Oregon Coast to take in the sites! We first went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium at Newport.
Then we went to our hotel which was awesome, with a patio that looked right out to the beach. We spent time on the rocks looking in the tide pools, built a sand castle and got our feet wet in the sea!
We watched the ocean at night with huge resort lights shinning on the waves. Gorgeous!
Then the next day after visiting and picnicing at beach, we left for Yaquina Head to see the lighthouse.
We got a bonus, as the birds were in their mating season on the ocean rocks.
Then we went to a small cove, where we got some amazing pictures of seals relaxing on the rocks. One of them gave me a show with his antics . . . . but I will save those pictures for later in the week!
It was an awesome trip as we traveled up the coast past tourist towns and ending up with dinner and ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Visitor Center! (A few more pictures are on my Facebook page.)

Trip to the Beach!

Today, I will be at the beach with my husband! He's got business there, and I'm tagging along. I'm taking a holiday from my routine. I may spend some time by myself, but that's OK; I like solitude. I'll do some shopping. I'll read a book, enjoy the ocean, and of course, take my camera. I'll share some pictures when I get back!
I can already smell the ocean, hear the seagulls cry and feel the brisk breeze on my face!
I do have a necklace that was inspired by my last trip to the beach. Check it out!
