Back to School

Haven't posted lately, except for my automatic WW posts;  I have been ill, including a stay in the ER on Wednesday.  Anyway, I am getting better, and decided to make a short post today in between short stints on the couch.

Most school children are preparing to go back to school, sometime between August 12th and September right after Labor Day, depending on where you live.  I've been hosting a "Back-to-School" sale in my shop and have a few items that may be on your list, if you are the one designated to do the shopping for the kiddos. All the items shown today can be found in my PruittCreations shop.  And don't forget to use the coupon code listed in the shop announcement for a 15% discount on anything in my Back-to-School section!  You can use every penny you can save, when it comes to school supplies!

Don't forget the hair accessories!  What little girl doesn't want to look her best the first day?

Need a cute apron for art classes?

How about  a pencil case for that budding artist?

And don't forget to stock up on Birthday Gifts for those party invitations that will inevitably come.

Thanks for visiting my blog today,
and happy Back-to-School shopping!

Fun Fabrics!

Recently I purchased some monkey fabrics!  They were a special request from my client's customers.  I made children's aprons from the fabrics.

Also purchased some Independence Day fabrics and made aprons from those fabrics too!  Here I am getting ready to deliver a batch of completed aprons to my client!

I did have some fabric left over from this the fourth of July batch, so I'm listing a mother and child set in my  Etsy shop:

And I had enough to make a set of napkins too! Tutorial here to make your own.

What have you been up to lately????

Aprons and more aprons!

I've been making aprons like mad lately.  I made them for a local wholesale customer and also for a couple of craft shows that I am doing this summer.  One show was last weekend with another next weekend.  Most of what I have made were children's aprons.

Also,  I have be hosting an apron sale in my PruittCreations Shop.  Left in the shop are my older styles and one vintage cross stitched apron; I would like to clear them out to make room for new stock.   I am offering them at 50% OFF the regular listing price.  There is a coupon code in the shop announcement for getting the discounted price.  You can choose from a thanksgiving apron, a cute half apron, breast cancer awareness aprons, and several others.  They would make great gifts if you already have a favorite apron!

Then, watch for the children's aprons to appear in my shop maybe later next week, after my next craft show.   (P.S.  Will also be listing some cute children's totes!)

Fun Fabric!

I found this fun fabric at an estate sale!  It's  a Robert Kaufman fabric.  I just love the kids saying what they want to be.  This might make a great children's apron!  (It's now for sale in my shop.)
So you ever shop estate sales?  Tell us about one of your favorite finds!

38 Shopping Days

38 Shopping Days left! I can't believe it!

I haven't even thought about making my Christmas list yet--have you? I love Christmas and I love giving gifts, but with the economy as it is, I really have to pare down my list and buy wisely. You too? Well here are a few suggestions from Etsy:

Child's Apron (with matching doll apron)

My daughter is a great seamstress! She can sew circles around me! She makes aprons and other cute things, but I thought I would share about one of the cutest things that I have seen her make. Actually the picture presented here is of a size 3T child's apron that she made for my friend's granddaughter. She also made an adorable matching apron for the little girl's doll. Although this one is sold, she takes custom orders.

Take a look at her shop; also check out her sold items. Her shop is called Her Apron Strings, appropriately! Visit her shop!
