August is Here!

Second week in August!

Were has the summer gone? I know . . . it's still here, but it is winding down fast! Hope that you have had a vacation, or some time off to enjoy!

In August we have blackberries growing everywhere in the Pacific Northwest. As a family, we usually take a few days to enjoy picking! Enjoy a few pictures of our adventures in berry picking last year!

yum! picking blackberries! Do you go to a farm or pick them in the wild? Last year, while vacationing in Idaho, we picked thimbleberries in the wild.

These are wild! We usually go to a farm to pick blueberries or boysenberries, or marionberries, but blackberries are wild EVERYWHERE!

We're watching the blackberries around us too just waiting to go pick them! They can be painful to pick because of the little thorns but they are oh so worth it!
