Sunday Sketches #2

This is the second of my Sunday Sketches. I did this yesterday while I was waiting for my dinner to finish cooking. I enjoyed picking up the charcoal and graphite pencils again! Hope you like it!

(This is a submission for Sunday Sketches. See the list of other participant's sketches at bluechairdiary.)

this is wonderful and charming. a simple pine cone. I am still not at a point where I can simply sit and sketch. I seem to have to work a drawing till I feel satisfied. Funny how a sketch seems more challenging to me at this point. Practice I suppose.

pinecones are not easy to draw, and you have done a great job of it!

oops! I see Marlene and I said the same thing, lol! I speak from experience, all those strange shapes are tricky.

I love it Linda. I've never worked with charcoal before. I even have a set at my art desk, but am too afraid to pick them up!! haha You did a fantastic job. So glad you participated again.

Happy SS! :)

I like this...I haven't worked with charcoal since I was a little girl (at my grandmother's). This looks deceptively simple.
