Is it Spring yet?

Etsybloggers Team Carnival for March 14th:

The first day of spring is just around the corner. The "first sign of spring" that I usually look for is the emergence of bulbs in the flower beds. I usually have spent lots of the winter time in the catalogs pursing the seeds for the spring garden and also have spent lots of time in the bulb catalogs last fall dreaming about all the color that will emerge from the damp soil in the spring!  I love all sorts of bulb plants, but I consider Daffodils the "official" sign of Spring.  In reality, there are several other bulb plants that emerge before daffodils, like crocus, and Hyacinth, equally as beautiful, but actually not as cheery as a daffodil!

And don't ya just love to see the bare tree branches with tiny buds appearing? I just love that feeling that tells me that winter is almost over and the life cycle of the seasons is beginning again.  The sight of new life is so calming, yet thrilling after a long cold season of being indoors.  Ah, but then, I did do a lot of crafting indoors during the winter season!  What else was there to do?

I love spring. The buds here have been on the trees for quite some time. The poor plants have been fooled may times this winter that it is almost over but I think, now they may get the reprieve they are seeking! :-)

Daffodils are cheery aren't they? My favorite bulb plant is the Iris though. *Sigh* I miss my garden.

Spring is definitely on it's way here (NC)...the Bradford pear trees are in full bloom and everything is turning green. My daffodils are coming up! I'm a new follower from EBT. :)

Springs new growth began its arrival here last month with my paperwites, and now the amarylis are sprouting. And I share with you the emergence of the buds all over the trees. Also enjoying the smell of the fruit tree flowers begining another season.

Just the thought of spring makes me dance inside. And just yesterday I noticed that the first daffodils are budded out. The candytuft has been blooming for weeks, but the daffodils--you're right. They just Shout spring!
