Work in progress

In January, I closed my jewelry shop on Etsy.  I gave away lots of my pieces to my family--lots, because I have a BIG family!  Since then, I have been re-thinking my focus for the closed shop (and my other online shops--supply shop and Handcrafts shop) but mostly re-vamping the former jewelry Design shop.  The first part of the year is the natural time for this, but it has become a more involved process than I first thought it would be. One cannot just abruptly about face and start anew with a 180 degree turn and expect that everything will fall in place immediately.  (Did I mention that I might be a little impatient!)  Anyway, this re-think is taking some time to muse over, do research, obtain supplies,  not even mentioning the time it takes to make new items!

Suffice it to say, my new shop with it's new focus, is developing . . . .

My new banner, maybe, not sure I am done with it.
and new avitar . . . .
Sneak peek  of one section . . .

What do you think?  Attractive, appealing or . . . ?  Let me know what you think!

Honest Critique from a Non-Crafter Who Is Admittedly Ignorant, But Then, You May Have Potential Buyers Like Me Come Across Your Shop:

1. "establish the romance in your life" is off to a good start. Nice phrase. The banner background is homey and peaceful ... Question: Does it communicate enough about what you sell? And this is a musing, open question. If you like what it communicates, the answer is yes. But what will a visitor to your shop take away from looking at this? Could be enough, something to think about.

2) Avatar: How about Pruitt Decor instead of Pruitt Design? When I see "design" I think either graphic design as in computer-generated graphic illustrations and art for business or pleasure, or else I think jewelry design. Are you designing pillows? Selling patterns for them? Or selling finished products? Both?

3) The sneak preview: At first glance I was really confused as to what you sell, based on this image taken by itself. My best is quilts and/or pillows? Custom-made bedding? But yeah, this last photo, if it were the only image I were to have of your new store, would tend to leave me puzzled a little too long. I'd think, "pretty, but what is it and how does it apply to my life?"

Thanks for the suggestions! I will think about your "communicate enough" comment. I'm not finished deciding what sections I want in my shop, so, maybe I should include some jewelry pieces in the banner picture mix. We'll see. And I am stuck with 'Design' since I already have this shop, just changing emphasis.

Linda, I love the avatar and it shows some beautiful "handmade" items, mostly for the bedroom and that is what I would expect to find from your avatar and banner. I also get somewhat of a victorian feel from them. It that is what you shop is about then I think it is perfect. If you are going to include a section of jewelry then Maybe work in a few pieces in your banner. Make me think I should revamp my store as it is rather boring.
